Halloween

My little nocturnal bat.  She's swimming in this costume, but doesn't seem to mind either way.

They have a Halloween parade at the kids' school where they walk around in their costumes.  My pictures left a lot to be desired from that event.

My Lego Chima Laval, fox and the original Elsa.  Sage was a little too delicate to join in the group shot.

Rowan didn't decide until 2 weeks before Halloween what he wanted to be.  They were sold out of this particular hoodie everywhere on the internet when he finally decided that's what he wanted, so we thought we had better go back to the drawing board.  Rowan was disappointed, so I told him to say a prayer about it.  He did and a few hours later we found literally the last one in his size on the internet.  He was thrilled and I was glad he had a little spiritual experience there.  This shield was also sold out or extremely marked up on ebay, so we made our own.  I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out.

The best picture I have of the shield.  Here's Austin. our gold ninjago friend ready to go trick or treating.

Before we went out for the evening, we went to my friend Gayle's (Austin's grandmother) ward's trunk or treat.
Gayle is the one in orange.  It was a big event and the kids had a lot of fun.
Elsa trying out her Tangled wig with her Frozen dress.

Our neighbor's grandpa owns a farm with tons of pumpkins and they carve a whole procession of them, which is a lot of fun to look at every Halloween.

The day before Halloween, Nadia's BYU class had a little shadow puppet/song presentation.  I had the misfortune of having low batteries in the camera.  In the shadow puppet show, her's is the 2nd spider from the left.  It was a big blob with a ton of little tiny legs she had designed herself.  Super cute.

Steve helping Nadia with her kitten tattoo for her pumpkin.

We had so many pumpkins from school trips, free ones from the grocery store, and some that we picked up from our neighbors.  Nadia loved arranging them all the time in the front yard.

 It's so bright!
We utilized some of the pumpkin and froze it as is our tradition every year for pumpkin pies.  Nadia was my big helper.
The other two monkeys were outside wrestling while we were hard at work.

Nadia, you are one foxy fox.  It was a great Halloween!
